Cleaning Out Summer to Make Room for Fall!

Cleaning Out Summer to Make Room for Fall!

While it might not feel like the Las Vegas summer is starting to wind down, it’s time to start focusing on clearing out that summer debris before fall really starts.

Summer has a habit of leaving us kicking and screaming, leaving behind debris in the form of little bits of barbeques, gardening, and other summer fun.

Today, our trained professionals at Anytime Plumbing, Inc will teach you all of the best ways to clean that debris out to make room for the clean air of fall!

How Air Filters Can Help

airfiltersAlthough a common recommendation from many HVAC professionals, checking and cleaning your home’s air filters is often overlooked and ignored to the detriment of your home’s clean air quality.

Before fall really takes hold here in Nevada, make sure to fully replace your air filters. This will allow you to have the cleanest air possible by the time the holidays roll around.

If you’re not sure how to do this, or if you would like some assistance, please reach out and one of our staff members will be happy to come out and help you out.

Make Sure to Use Non-Toxic Chemicals

nontoxicchemicalsWhen the seasons start to change, many people get the urge to clean their homes. However, if you’re using toxic chemicals, you may be contributing to poor air quality in your home.

In order to provide your family with the cleanest air possible, make sure to use only non-toxic chemicals while cleaning. If you’re concerned about the cleaning products you plan to use to clean your home, there are other, even more, natural options.

Easy, natural options that will help your home maintain its clean air are a simple spray bottle filled with water and vinegar (perfect for cleaning windows), baking soda (use it in a paste and use it to clean your surfaces), and tea tree oils (work great on wood furniture).

Check Your Home For Gas Leaks

checkforgasleaksOne other “silent killer” that not only affects the clean air quality in your home but that can also become deadly is a gas leak. Even a small gas link can cause large problems quickly, and the deadly effects continue to add up over time.

Symptoms of gas leaks can vary depending on how long the gas leak has been present, and include nausea, headaches, fatigue, chest pain. Many people also complain of a smell of sulfur or rotten eggs, or simply a gas bill that seems to continue to increase with no obvious reason.

If you’re concerned about a gas link, call our qualified staff as soon as possible. If you have any questions on any of the tips we’ve discussed today, or if you just want to touch base with a plumbing or HVAC professional, please give our office a call at (702) 362-9300. All of us here at Anytime Plumbing, Inc would be happy to help! Clean air should be a priority heading into this fall, so don’t let summer linger any longer than necessary!
